Manchester ’s Kelley Meiklejohn Honored as HCAC Women’s Player of the Month

GREENWOOD, IN – Manchester College’s Kelley Meiklejohn (Ft. Wayne, Ind./Carroll) has been named December’s Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Player of the Month. The junior basketball forward propelled the Spartans to a 4-2 record in December, including three conference wins.
Meiklejohn has helped Manchester to a fast start in conference play, standing as the only unbeaten team in conference play at 3-0 this season.
In December, Meiklejohn averaged 14.8 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. The junior connected on 42.1% of her field goal attempts and 45.5% from behind the three-point line in the month.
The Ft. Wayne, Indiana native is the third Spartan female athlete to claim the award and is the second Manchester women’s basketball player to earn the honor.
The HCAC Player of the Month award is in its third year of existence. The award is voted on by the sports information directors of each member institution.
