Rose-Hulman Enters Spring Season with Lead in Commissioner's Cup Standings
GREENWOOD, IN - The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference office announced the winter standings for the 2009-10 Commissioner's Cup this afternoon. Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology continues to hold the top spot in the standings with 62.5 points and leads second place Hanover College (59.5) by three points.
The Engineers fell to No. 3 in the men's standings and No. 2 in the women's standings after the winter season.
Manchester took over the lead in the men's all-sports standings with 26.5 total points. The Spartans earned 5.5 points in men's basketball and a single point in wrestling. Anderson also passed Rose on the men's side after earning the HCAC title in men's basketball.
Transylvania turned in a successful winter to lead the women's race. The Pioneers shared the women's basketball title and earned another three points in women's swimming.
Franklin College and Transylvania University are also within 10 points of first place Rose-Hulman in the Cup standings heading into the Spring season.
