Transylvania Leads Commissioner's Cup Standings Through Winter Competition

GREENWOOD, IN - The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference office announced the winter standings for the 2010-11 Commissioner's Cup this morning.  Transylvania University holds the top spot in the standings with 74.0 points and leads second place Hanover College (66.0) by eight points.

The Pioneers currently lead the women's all-sports standings as well, leading Hanover by 8.5 points.  TU currently ranks sixth in the men's standings with 21 points.

Manchester College currently holds the lead in the men's all-sports standings with 30.5 points.  The Spartans surpassed Franklin in the men's standings after earning the 2010-11 HCAC men's basketball title.

Transylvania posted three HCAC championships during the fall, earning titles in both men's and women's soccer and women's volleyball.  The Pioneers finished the winter season with a fourth and second place finish in men's and women's basketball, while earning five points in men's and women's swimming.
