HCAC Commissioner Ragsdale Selected to Facilitate at NCAA Leadership Forum
INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Commissioner Chris Ragsdale has been selected to serve as a facilitator at the inaugural 2010 NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum. The event will take place October 21-24 at the Disney Contemporary Hotel in Orlando, Florida. The forum is open to institutions that are located in Region 2, which primarily includes those NCAA institutions located in the southern region of the country.
Commissioner Ragsdale will be one of 30 athletics professionals representing Division I, II, and III that were chosen to serve as facilitators for the forum.
In 2002 the NCAA began holding Leadership Conferences for student-athletes, coaches, and administrators that were separated by each division. Beginning this fall, the Division I, II, and III Leadership Programs will take place at one site on the same weekend
Ragsdale stated, “I am very excited to be a part of this inaugural program. The forum will bring together representation from all three divisions and will provide opportunities for exploring a wide range of topics including behavioral styles and values and how each of these helps to shape our unique style of leadership.”
The Leadership Forum is open to all institutions in Region 2 with each institution permitted to register two student-athletes for the event. Registration is based on a first come, first served basis with a maximum number of institutions eligible to attend per NCAA division (98 for Division III). Once a division has reached its maximum number of registered institutions, registration for that division will close.
