CoSIDA Names 12 from HCAC to Capital One NCAA Division III Academic All-District Teams
GREENWOOD, IN – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference has placed 12 student-athletes on the fall Capital One NCAA Division III Academic All-District Teams in results released this week by the College Sports Information Directors of America. CoSIDA released the teams in men’s soccer, women’s soccer, volleyball, and football for the fall season as part of the Capital One Academic All-American process.
To be nominated for the CoSIDA Academic All-America program, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average at his/her current institution. Nominated athletes must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team’s games at the position listed on the nomination form. No student-athlete is eligible until he/she has completed one full calendar year at his/her current institution and has reached sophomore athletic eligibility. In the cases of transfers, graduate students and two-year college graduates, the student-athlete must have completed one full calendar year at the nominating institution to be eligible.
By earning first team honors, the student-athlete is automatically placed on the ballot for consideration on the Capital One NCAA Division III Academic All-America team.
The CoSIDA All-District teams are selected and voted on by the members of CoSIDA
