HCAC Places Three Teams in ABCA Preseason Baseball Poll

GREENWOOD, IN - The HCAC has placed three teams in the NCAA Division III Collegiate Baseball Newspaper preseason poll.  Rose-Hulman, Anderson, and Franklin all make an appearance in the first poll, ranking 27, 28, and 29 respectively.

The trio represents the state of Indiana in the rankings.  Of the nine Indiana Division III institutions participating in the sport of baseball, Rose, Anderson, and Franklin will all begin the 2010 season in the top 30.  Over 400 DIII schools participate in the sport each spring.

The Hoosier state is well represented on the rosters as well with 72% of the student athletes playing their high school baseball in the state of Indiana.

The 2010 baseball season is set to begin the last weekend in February with conference play beginning March 23.

The HCAC preseason coaches' poll will be released January 26.
