AU's Young and RHIT's Long Earn Spot on D3baseball.com All-America Team

GREENWOOD, IN –Anderson University senior outfielder Cody Young (Muncie, Ind./Delta) and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology senior catcher Keenan Long (Park Ridge, Ill./Northwestern Uni.) have been named Honorable Mention All-America by D3baseball.com in results released today.

Young, a senior outfielder for the Ravens, hit .500 with 42 runs scored, 12 doubles, 11 home runs, and 41 RBI in only 27 games played.  The Muncie, Indiana native helped pace the high-powered Ravens offense, leading AU to the HCAC regular season title.

Long, a senior catcher for the Engineers, finished the season hitting .414 at the plate and added 53 runs, 14 doubles, five home runs, and 50 RBI.  The first-team All-HCAC catcher led the Engineers to the HCAC tournament title and was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.

The All-American team consists of three teams plus honorable mention and was voted on by D3baseball.com staff, contributors and Sports Information Directors.
