GREENWOOD, IN- Anderson University's baseball team moved into a first place tie with Manchester atop the conference standings after a three-game sweep of Franklin. The Ravens (15-5, 5-1 HCAC) finished the week 4-0 overall and has won five-straight since dropping a contest to Hanover.
Senior shortstop Brady Roundtree (Anderson, Ind./Highland) led the Ravens offense during the week, finishing 10-of-19 (.526) at the plate with seven runs scored, four doubles, a home run, and six RBI.
On the mound for Anderson, Tyler Watson (Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence North) earned a win in a 14-10 win over Franklin. Watson tossed five innings with one earned run, six hits allowed, and seven strikeouts to lead AU to a win.
Anderson also earned a non-conference win during the week, posting a 3-2 win over Marian (Ind.) at Victory Field in Indianapolis.
Sophomore catcher John Clawson (Daleville, Ind./Yorktown) delivered the game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the ninth.
Anderson tangles with Rose-Hulman in Terre Haute Tuesday afternoon before facing Transylvania in Anderson this weekend.
