GREENWOOD, IN - Transylvania University freshman pitcher Braden Johnson (Crestwood, Ky./South Oldham) tossed the first no-hitter in the HCAC since 2005 Sunday. Johnson led the Pioneers to a 12-0 win over Defiance as the Pioneers (10-10, 4-2 HCAC) earned a three-game sweep over the Jackets (7-11, 1-5 HCAC).

The freshman was named the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association's NCAA DIII National Player of the Week for his efforts.
Transylvania will play host to Hanover in a single game contest Tuesday and will welcome Earlham to Lexington for a three-game series Friday and Saturday.
