Garrett Stone, Anderson University, Baseball (Hitter)
Anderson University’s Garrett Stone (Ft. Collins, Colo./Rocky Mountain) led the Ravens to their first baseball championship since 2001 with a sweep of Mount St. Joseph and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Hitter of the Week.
The junior outfielder finished the week 8-for-18 (.444) at the plate with eight runs scored, three doubles, a triple, a home run, and 12 RBI as the Ravens went 4-0 on the week.
Stone also extended his current hit streak to 21-straight games entering the HCAC Tournament at Anderson this weekend.
Anderson (26-14, 17-5 HCAC) will play host to the four-team tournament Thursday through Saturday as the host Ravens open play against No. 4 seed Rose-Hulman at Noon Thursday. No. 2 Franklin will tangle with No. 3 Manchester at 3:30 PM.
