Kelly Barnes, Bluffton University, Baseball (Pitcher)
Bluffton University’s Kelly Barnes (Toledo, Ohio/Christian) led the Beavers to an 8-5 win over Franklin Saturday and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
The sophomore threw 8.0 innings in the 8-5 win and established a school record 12 strikeouts against the Grizzlies. Barnes walked only two batters and allowed two runs (none earned) on five hits in the victory.
Barnes finished the 2010 season 1-1 on the mound for the Beavers.
