Chris Stemple, Rose-Hulman, Baseball (Hitter)

Rose-Hulman's Chris Stemple (Mt. Vernon, Ind./H.S.) led the Engineer offensive attack last week and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Hitter of the Week. 

The junior outfielder finished 16-of-28 (.571) at the plate as RHIT went 5-1 in Florida.  Stemple hit six doubles, a grand slam, scored 12 runs, and drove in 10 runs during the week.  He finished with a .594 on-base percentage and a .893 slugging percentage at the plate during the six game trip. 

As a team, Rose batted .403 in Florida with 25 doubles, three triples, and three home runs, outscoring the opposition 97-28. 

No. 19 ranked RHIT (5-1, 0-0 HCAC) welcomes Calvin to Terre Haute for a three-game series this weekend.
