Nathan Ellis, Franklin College, Baseball (Pitcher)
Franklin College’s Nathan Ellis (Plainfield, Ind./H.S.) fired a complete game shutout against Concordia (Ill.) and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
The sophomore pitcher allowed only three hits and three walks with four strikeouts as the Grizzlies handed Concordia (Ill.) a 7-0 defeat.
Ellis now stands 1-1 on the season and lowered his ERA to 1.86 on the season.
Franklin (7-5, 0-0 HCAC) opens conference play at home this weekend as Defiance comes to town for a three-game set.
