Cody Young, Anderson University, Baseball (Hitter)
Anderson University’s Cody Young (Muncie, Ind./Delta) had a record setting weekend as the Ravens swept Defiance and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Hitter of the Week for the second time.
The senior outfielder finished the week 12-for-22 (.545) at the plate with 11 runs scored, three doubles, a triple, three home runs, nine RBI, two stolen bases, and a 1.182 slugging percentage.
Young set three school records in Friday’s 24-9 win over Defiance with six hits, 14 total bases, and six runs scored as he hit for the cycle with three doubles, a triple, a home run, and a single in the contest.
In the weekend series with DC, he was 12-for-18 with seven extra base hits and nine RBI.
Anderson (19-11, 10-4 HCAC) faces first place Rose-Hulman tomorrow in Terre Haute.
