Derek Eitel, Rose-Hulman, Baseball (Pitcher)
Rose-Hulman’s Derek Eitel (Marshall, Ill./H.S.) tossed seven shutout innings in Rose’s 20-1 win over Hanover Saturday and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the third time.
The senior pitcher allowed no runs and two hits with nine strikeouts as the Engineers rolled to the victory.
This season, Eitel stands 5-1 with a 1.94 ERA, while striking out 65 batters in 51.0 innings of work.
No. 18 Rose (23-6, 11-3 HCAC) faces Anderson Tuesday before a three-game weekend series at Manchester.
