Nathan Ellis, Franklin College, Baseball (Pitcher)
Franklin College’s Nathan Ellis (Plainfield, Ind./H.S.) pitched a complete game shutout in FC’s 11-0 win over Anderson and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
The senior pitcher tossed seven shutout innings, allowing three hits with four strikeouts in the win. Ellis held the Ravens to a .120 batting average in the contest and moved to 8-2 on the season.
Franklin (30-9, 18-7 HCAC) earned the No. 2 seed in this week’s HCAC tournament and will face Anderson at 3:00 PM Thursday in Terre Haute.
