Chris Bloch, Transylvania University, Baseball (Pitcher)
Transylvania University’s Chris Bloch (Louisville, Ky./Ballard) pitched a complete-game two-hitter in TU’s 4-0 win over Defiance Saturday and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
The senior lefty did not allow a hit until the sixth inning and finished the contest with eight strikeouts, one walk, and two hits allowed in the seven inning contest.
Transylvania (11-9, 5-2 HCAC) will travel to Hanover Tuesday and Bluffton Friday and Saturday.
