Taylor Bugh, Transylvania University, Baseball (Pitcher)
Transylvania University’s Taylor Bugh (Louisville, Ky./Ballard) posted a 2-0 record with a 1.35 ERA on the mound last week and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
The senior pitcher earned wins over Mount St. Joseph and Franklin, tossing 13.0 innings with 11 hits, two earned runs, and nine strikeouts.
In a 12-3 win over Mount, Bugh allowed six hits, two earned runs, and struck out five in six innings of work. The senior went the distance in a seven inning 7-1 victory over Franklin, allowing five hits and no earned runs with four punch outs.
Transy (15-14, 8-7 HCAC) will welcome Rose-Hulman to Lexington for a three-game series this weekend.
