Taylor Bugh, Transylvania University, Baseball (Pitcher)
Transylvania University’s Taylor Bugh (Louisville, Ky./Ballard) pitched a complete game shutout in TU’s 5-0 win over Earlham and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the second time.
The senior pitcher tossed nine shutout innings, allowing six hits with eight strikeouts in the win.
Bugh held the Quakers to a .193 batting average in the contest and lowered his season ERA to 2.73 on the year.
Transylvania (20-16, 13-9 HCAC) will battle with Manchester this weekend with a spot in the upcoming HCAC baseball tournament on the line.
