Matt Brooks, Hanover College, Baseball (Hitter)

Hanover College’s Matt Brooks (Goodlettsville, Tenn./Pope John Paul II) helped the Panthers close the season with a four game win streak and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Hitter of the Week for the second time. 

The junior first baseman finished 10-of-17 (.588) at the plate with seven runs scored, two doubles, a home run, and seven RBI, while posting a slugging percentage of .882 and an on-base percentage of .579. 

Brooks had two hits in three of last week’s games and added a 4-for-5 outing in a win over Mount St. Joseph Saturday. 

Hanover (16-19, 12-13 HCAC) ended the season in a three-way tie for sixth in the HCAC standings.
