Mount St. Joseph Heads to Wittenberg for Opening Round Matchup

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The NCAA Division III football selection committee announced the 32-team field for the 2009 playoffs.  The College of Mount St. Joseph earned the HCAC's automatic bid with a 9-1 overall record and a 7-0 mark in conference play.  The Lions dropped their season finale to rival Thomas More (10-0) 42-17 in the annual Bridge Bowl.

The Mount drew the No. 7 seed in the Wis.-Whitewater bracket and will travel to Wittenberg (10-0) in the opening round Saturday, November 21.  The Lions will battle with the North Coast Athletic Conference champion Tigers at Noon.
