Hanover's Stewart Highlights Eight from HCAC on D3football.com All-Region Team

GREENWOOD, IN - The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference placed one athlete on the D3football.com All-North Region first-team.  Hanover College defensive back Corry Stewart (Nashville, Tenn./Ryan) was selected a member of the first team defense.

Stewart guided the Panthers to a 3-4 conference record during the regular season and earned a spot on the All-HCAC first-team. The senior defensive back set a Hanover and HCAC single-season record with nine interceptions for 138 yards and a touchdown.  Stewart also led the Panthers' defense with seven pass deflections and ranked fourth on the unit with 61 tackles, including 39 solo tackles and 22 assists.

Four HCAC athletes were named second-team D3football.com All-North Region selections. Franklin College's Chad Schenkel (Jr., OL, Carmel, Ind./H.S.) join Hanover College's Daniel Passafiume (So., WR, Louisville, Ky./St. Xavier) and the College of Mount St. Joseph's Anthony Walsh (Sr., OL, Cincinnati, Ohio/Moeller) as members of the second-team offensive squad.  The Lions' Erik Prosser (Jr., LB, Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) was named a member of the second-team defense.

Three other HCAC players earned selections to the third-team D3football.com All-North Region.  Manchester's Chase Estepp (Jr., G, Napanee, Ind./Northwood) earned third-team offense honors, while Rose-Hulman's Scott Eaton (Jr., LB, Fishers, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern) and Defiance's Kyle Longsdorf (Jr., DB, London, Ohio/H.S.) earned a spot on the third-team defense.

The three All-North Region teams are selected by North Region sports information directors and D3football.com staff. The selections were made from 184 nominations from the Division III member schools of the region.
