TERRE HAUTE, IN - Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology junior linebacker Matt Green (Cincinnati, Ohio/ LaSalle) has been named to the D3football.com National Team of the Week for his efforts in Saturday's win over Kalamazoo College.
Green recorded two interceptions and a key fumble recovery to propel the Fightin' Engineers to their 41-17 victory over the Hornets.
Green helped halt Kalamazoo's first drive of the game at the one-yard line, when he recovered a fumble along the back of the endzone to result in a touchback and stop a potential scoring drive.
Later in the contest, Green added one interception that stopped another potential drive, then snagged an interception that set up a score for Rose-Hulman.
On the day, Green recorded seven tackles and one sack, in addition to playing his role in the three turnovers.
