Hanover's Derrick Worden Strips & Recovers HCAC Play of the Week Honor

GREENWOOD, IN - Hanover College defensive back Derrick Worden (Galveston, Ind./Lewis-Cass) was voted as the HCAC Play of the Week for week 7.  The senior earned the title after voting took place on the HCAC social media outlets of Facebook and Twitter.

Worden caused a fumble on the three yard line and recovered it himself in the end-zone for a touchdown, earning this week's honor.  The score stretched the Hanover lead to 14-0 over Bluffton midway through the 2nd quarter as HC went on to win 41-0.

The final voting tally saw Worden garnering 48% of the vote (367 votes), beating out Anderson University's Marc Jones who garnered 39% of the vote (301).

The poll was distributed on the HCAC Twitter (@HCACDIII) and Facebook pages Monday, with voting ending at 10AM today.

All the winning plays from the 2013 season will be nominated for HCAC Play of the Year, which will be voted upon the week of Nov. 25-27 leading up to Thanksgiving.
