Franklin's Kyle Linville & Defiance's Tony Sierra Named AFCA All-America

AFCA Division III All-America Team

GREENWOOD, IN - Franklin College wide receiver Kyle Linville (Speedway, Ind./H.S.) and Defiance College defensive back Tony Sierra (Warren, Mich./Cousino) have been chosen for the 2013 AFCA Division III Coaches' All-America Team announced today by the American Football Coaches Association.

Linville, a senior wide receiver, finished the season with 108 catches for 1,374 yards and 14 touchdowns.  The senior was also named one of the 10 finalists for the 2013 Gagliardi Trophy given to the most outstanding football player in NCAA Division III.

Sierra, a senior defensive back for Defiance, was named the HCAC Defensive MVP for his efforts this fall.   The senior grabbed five interceptions with a NCAA Division III-best 26 passes defended.  Sierra also contributed 41 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, one sack, and one fumble recovery this season.

The AFCA has selected an All-America team since 1945 and currently selects teams in all five of its divisions.
