INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference football schedule continued last weekend.
Hanover College picked up a 28-10 win on the road at Bluffton on Saturday. The Panthers tallied 365 total offensive yards compared to the Beavers 197. Hanover was led by quarterback Noah Wezensky, the sophomore threw for 294 yards with three touchdowns.
Anderson earned its first victory of the season with an 18-14 win at Defiance, the first of head coach Steve Rock's career. The Ravens' Noah Mann led the defensive effort with ten total tackles and two pass breakups.
Mount St. Joseph moved to a 3-1 overall record after defeating Earlham 59-2 last weekend and the Lions are receiving votes in the AFCA Division III Coaches' Top 25 Poll. The Lions offense was once again leading the charge as junior quarterback Chaiten Tomlin threw for 343 yards with five touchdowns. Mount St. Joseph's offense accumulated 617 yards of total offense while the Quakers tallied 96 yards.
The Rose-Hulman Fightin' Engineers claimed their first victory of the season on Saturday with a 19-12 win over Manchester. The Engineers defensive unit added 71 total tackles in the victory. Senior John Kirby tallied 11 tackles, eight solo, and one interception to lead the Rose-Hulman defense.
