Kyle Longsdorf, Defiance College, Football (Defense)
Defiance College defensive back Kyle Longsdorf (London, Ohio/H.S.) led the Jackets' defense in a 35-0 shutout win over Bluffton and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Player of the Week on defense.
The junior racked up a career-high 22 total tackles to help DC to their largest margin of victory against the Beavers since the 2000 season. Longsdorf recorded seven of his 22 stops via the solo variety and added a blocked punt and a forced fumble on the afternoon.
The Defiance defense held Bluffton's offense to 188 total yards and nine first downs.
