Derek Eitel, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Football (Offense)
Rose-Hulman quarterback Derek Eitel (Marshall, Ill./H.S.) directed a Rose-Hulman offense that established a new single-game school record for total offense in the Engineers' 61-24 win over Earlham and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Player of the Week on offense.
The senior completed 13 passes for 310 yards and three touchdowns, leading the Rose offense that amassed 565 yards of total offense. Eitel tossed touchdown passes of 69 yards, 27 yards, and 25 yards in the win over the Quakers.
The Engineers (1-0, 0-0 HCAC) play host to North Park Saturday evening.
