Nick Murphy, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Football (Defense)
Rose-Hulman cornerback Nick Murphy (Casey, Ill./Casey-Westfield) anchored the Engineers' defense that limited North Park to 194 yards in a 48-17 Rose-Hulman win and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Player of the Week on defense.
The senior tallied eight tackles, including five solo efforts, and added an interception and a pass breakup in the Engineer victory.
Rose-Hulman (2-0, 0-0 HCAC) will close out its non-conference schedule Saturday afternoon at Greenville College (Ill.).
