Derick Tabar, College of Mount St. Joseph, Football (Offense)
Mount St. Joseph wide receiver Derick Tabar (Cincinnati, Ohio/Colerain) led the Lions offense in a 42-19 home win over Lakeland College (WI) Saturday and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Player of the Week on offense.
The junior receiver finished with six receptions for 144 yards and two touchdowns in the win, scoring both of his touchdowns in the second quarter. Tabar's 61 yard and 27 yard scores propelled the Mount to a 28-7 halftime lead.
The Cincinnati native leads MSJ with 11 receptions for 277 yards and four touchdowns this season.
Mount St. Joseph (2-0, 0-0 HCAC) returns to the field on September 26 to open conference place against Rose-Hulman.
