Mitch Grider, Anderson University, Football (Offense)

Anderson University quarterback Mitch Grider (Brookville, Ind./Franklin Co.) led an AU comeback that fell just short in a 37-34 loss to Earlham and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Player of the Week on offense.

The junior finished 16 of 24 for 283 yards and three touchdowns, while only playing the final 17 minutes of the game in relief of Nick Sharp. Grider tossed all three touchdowns in the fourth quarter in an attempt to bring the Ravens back from a 20 point deficit.

Anderson (0-3, 0-0 HCAC) will have Saturday off before returning to action on October 3 at Hanover.
