Anthony Sierra, Defiance College, Football (Defense)
Defiance College defensive back Anthony Sierra (Warren, Mich./Cousino) helped lead the Defiance defense that kept Rose-Hulman's offensive attack under control in DC's 28-21 win and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Player of the Week on defense.
The freshman picked off a Rose-Hulman pass and ran it back 30 yards for the game-tying score in the fourth quarter, knotting the tally at 21-21. Sierra added three tackles to go along with the game-tying score.
Defiance (2-4, 1-2 HCAC) will travel to Anderson this weekend.
