Nathan Ellis, Franklin College, Football (Offense)

Franklin College quarterback Nathan Ellis (Plainfield, Ind./H.S.) came off the bench to lead the Grizzlies to a 50-23 homecoming win over Anderson and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Player of the Week on offense. 

The sophomore came off the bench to replace Kyle Ray and tossed an eight yard touchdown pass to tie the score at 14 with 11 seconds to go in the first half.  Ellis added three more touchdown passes in the third quarter to break the game open. 

The Plainfield native completed 13 of his 16 passes for 176 yards and four touchdowns in the Grizzlies' win. 

Franklin (5-1, 3-0 HCAC) will welcome unbeaten Mount St. Joseph in a crucial conference showdown Saturday.
