Erik Prosser, College of Mount St. Joseph, Football (Defense)

College of Mount St. Joseph linebacker Erik Prosser (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) led the Lions' defense in a conference championship clinching 31-7 win over Manchester and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Player of the Week on defense for the second time.

The junior had a game-high 13 tackles in the MSJ win that clichéd a share of the conference title and the AQ to the NCAA Division III playoffs.  Prosser had eight solo tackles and five assists, as well as two tackles for loss and a sack.

The Mount defense limited one of the conference's best rushing offenses to only 2.7 yards per carry.

Mount St. Joseph (8-0, 6-0 HCAC) will look for an outright conference championship with a win at home against Defiance Saturday.
