Derek Eitel, Rose-Hulman, Football (Offense)

Rose-Hulman quarterback Derek Eitel (Marshall, Ill./H.S.) led the record breaking Rose-Hulman offense past Franklin 34-21 and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Player of the Week on offense for the second time. 

The senior completed 27 of his 45 passes for 422 yards and three touchdowns for the second most prolific passing day in school history.  Eitel became just the second Engineer to cross the 400 yard passing mark in a game and helped the Rose offense rack up 589 yards of total offense. 

The Marshall, Illinois native also became the school's career record holder in touchdown passes with 48 in his career. 

Rose-Hulman (5-4, 3-3 HCAC) will close out the season on the road against Anderson Saturday.
