C.J. Croft, Hanover College, Football (Offense)
Hanover quarterback C.J. Croft (Fort Campbell, Ky./H.S.) sparked the Panthers from a 17-0 deficit to a 28-27 overtime victory against 30th ranked Centre College and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Player of the Week on offense.
The junior completed 30 of his 48 passes for 246 yards and three touchdowns and also rushed 25 times for 67 yards and a score. Croft scored the game-winner on a burst up the middle during the Panthers’ overtime two-point conversion attempt.
Hanover (1-0, 0-0 HCAC) will play host to nationally ranked Thomas More Saturday.
