Manchester University defensive lineman Stephen Coble (Edwardsburg, Mich./H.S.) led the Spartans defense in a 38-0 shutout win over rival Anderson Saturday and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Player of the Week on defense for the second time.
The sophomore recorded nine tackles, four tackles for loss, and three sacks to help put a wrap on the school’s first winning season since 1997.
The win over Anderson also retained the Bronze Ball trophy for the fourth time in five seasons.
