Bluffton University’s Ryan Leopold (Ottawa, Ohio/Ottawa-Glandorf) blocked a pair of Defiance field goals in BU’s 17-10 win over Defiance Saturday and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Player of the Week on special teams.
Leopold blocked DC field goal attempts on the first two possessions of the contest and also played a crucial part in stuffing a fake field goal attempt by Defiance in the third quarter.
Bluffton (4-6, 4-4 HCAC) finished the season with three straight wins to finish fifth in the league standings.
