Franklin College’s Mike Wood (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove) scored 12 points in the kicking game as the Grizzlies defeated Anderson 67-7 Saturday and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Player of the Week on special teams for the second time.
The senior converted two field goals and made six extra points, including a season-long 39-yard effort in the second quarter.
Wood capped Franklin’s first six touchdowns with an extra point and contributed 12 points in the win.
No. 12 Franklin (4-2, 4-0 HCAC) will head to Terre Haute to face fellow HCAC unbeaten Rose-Hulman Saturday at 1:30 PM.
