Men's Basketball Report (Week 9) - Manchester Wins Fourth Straight to Move Into 2nd Place

GREENWOOD, IN - Manchester College (11-5, 5-2 HCAC) has won four in a row, including six of their past seven contests, to climb into second place of the HCAC standings. The Spartans beat Bluffton 70-61 on Wednesday before defeating Transylvania 68-64 Saturday night. 

Mitch Schaefer (Ft. Wayne, Ind./Carroll) led the black and gold with 17 points in the win over the Beavers Wednesday evening.  Tyler Henn (Huntington, Ind./Huntington North) led the Spartans from behind against the Pioneers, scoring 21 points and grabbing a team-high six rebounds against Transy. 

Manchester will close the first half of the HCAC schedule against first place Anderson Wednesday night and will try for the season sweep of Hanover Saturday.
