Men's Basketball Report (Week 9) - No. 21 Hanover Continues Winning Ways
GREENWOOD, IN - Hanover College (12-2, 8-0 HCAC) saw its win streak reach 11 in a row after posting a pair of league wins during the week. The No. 21 ranked Panthers defeated Franklin and Anderson at home and have not lost a game since falling to No. 7 ranked Wabash on November 23.
Hanover opened the week with an impressive 82-56 win over rival Franklin. Senior forward Mitchell Meyer (New Albany, Ind./H.S.) led the Panthers with 22 points on 10-of-11 shooting from the floor. The Panthers outscored the Grizzlies 48-22 in the second half and shot a blistering 62.0% from the floor as a team in the win.
Hanover ran its win streak to 11 in a row with a 57-54 victory over Anderson. Junior forward Mike Case (Indianapolis, Ind./Southport) led HC with 18 points and seven rebounds, while Meyer added 17 points and six boards in the tight victory.
The Panthers hit the road for a pair of tough conference showdowns this week. HC will travel to Terre Haute to face Rose-Hulman Wednesday evening before facing Manchester in northern Indiana Saturday.
