Men's Basketball Report (Week 6) - Hanover Slips Past Thomas More 73-72

GREENWOOD, IN - Hanover College's men's basketball team edged Thomas More 73-72 in its only action last week.

Sophomore forward Michael Van Kleunen (Mason, Ohio) matched his career high with 15 points, junior guard Tim Bass (Indianapolis, Ind.) netted 14 and junior forward Desmond Marks (Bloomington, Ind.) added 12 as Hanover improved to 6-2 overall with the triumph.

Hanover never trailed in the contest, but led by more than two possessions for just six minutes in the contest.

The Panthers (6-2, 2-1 HCAC) will return to action on December 29 against Illinois College in the Wooster Kiwanis Classic.

In other action...

Rose-Hulman won its fourth straight contest with an 85-80 win over John Carroll Saturday. Senior guard Julian Strickland (Indianapolis, Ind./Pike) scored a career-high 36 points, shooting 11-for-20 from the field and 12-for-13 from the free throw line.  Strickland also added seven rebounds, four assists, four steals, and two blocks as the Engineers moved to 7-3 overall this season and stand 2-1 in league play. 

RHIT will return to action on Saturday, January 4 at home against Bluffton.
