TERRE HAUTE, IN -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology senior Julian Strickland (Indianapolis, Ind./Pike) earned honorable mention All-American honors from, in results released by the national website.

Strickland helped the Fightin' Engineers finish 22-6 overall with their second consecutive Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season championship.  Rose-Hulman also earned its third straight trip to the NCAA Division III Tournament by virtue of winning the conference tournament for the third consecutive year.

Strickland ranked No. 8 nationally in NCAA Division III scoring this season at 23.1 points per game.  He finished the season ranked No. 2 nationally in free throws made (204) and No. 4 in total points (648) among all NCAA Division III players.

Strickland completed a historic career ranked fifth on Rose-Hulman's scoring list with 1,747 points.  His efforts included 648 points this year for the third most in a single season in school history and the most by any Fightin' Engineer since 1970.  He also established new school records for single-season free throws (204) and career free throws (426) this season. 

Strickland completes his career as one of the most decorated players in Rose-Hulman history.  His individual career accolades include two regular season HCAC Most Valuable Player awards and three all-conference selections; two HCAC Tournament MVP honors; two first-team all-region honors from multiple organizations; one NABC All-American award; and one honorable mention All-American honor.

Additionally, Rose-Hulman tied a school record for wins during Strickland's junior year (24) and won the third-most games ever this season (22).  The team finished 7-18 during the season prior to Strickland's arrival on campus.
