Logan Wolfrum, Defiance College, Men's Basketball
Defiance College freshman guard Logan Wolfrum (Defiance, Ohio/Ayersville) helped the Jackets clinch a spot in the HCAC tournament with two wins last week and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the second time.
The freshman guard hit seven of 11 field goals and led all players with 22 points and four steals in DC's 71-64 win over Transylvania. He scored four straight buckets during a stretch in the second half that extended a Defiance lead from 43-41 to 51-43 with just over 10 minutes remaining.
Wolfrum netted 10 points and added three rebounds and a steal in Defiance's 70-59 win at Manchester, reaching double figures for the seventh time in his last eight games.
Defiance (17-5, 8-5 HCAC) will travel to Mount St. Joseph Saturday in their only game of the week.
