Andrew Jones, Anderson University, Men's Basketball
Anderson University junior forward Andrew Jones (Noblesville, Ind./H.S.) led the Ravens to a 2-0 start in HCAC play and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
Jones scored 27 points on 13 of 14 shooting and added six rebounds in the Ravens' 88-70 win over Defiance. Jones connected on all seven of his attempts in the second half as AU set a school record with a 70.4% shooting percentage against the Jackets.
In a 79-70 win over Mount St. Joseph, Jones added 19 points and four rebounds on 9 of 15 shooting from the field.
For the week, the junior averaged 23.0 points and five rebounds while shooting 75.9% from the floor.
The Ravens (5-1, 2-0 HCAC) will travel to Bluffton Wednesday and face Wittenberg at home in a non-conference game Saturday.
