Hanover College senior center Mike Case (Indianapolis, Ind./Southport) led the Panthers to a pair of league wins last week and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the second time.
The senior scored 24 points and added four rebounds in a 71-60 win at home over Anderson Wednesday evening. The Indianapolis native followed that performance with a season-high 30 points and 10 rebounds in HC’s 67-62 victory at Defiance Saturday.
In the two games, Case averaged 27.0 points and 7.0 rebounds, while shooting 67.7% from the field.
Case also topped the 1,200 career point mark (1,221) and moved into 10th place among Hanover’s career rebounding leaders (686).
Hanover (12-4, 8-2 HCAC) will tangle with Mount St. Joseph and Manchester this week.
