GREENWOOD, IN - Hanover College led the four competing HCAC schools at the Rose-Hulman Invitational with a first place finish this past weekend. The Panthers finished eight strokes ahead of host Rose-Hulman in the team standings.
Hanover finished the 36-hole tournament, held at Hulman Links Golf Course, with a score of 612. P.J. Greene (Mason, Ohio/William Mason) led the Panthers with a third place finish in the individual standings, carding rounds of 78 and 71. Robert Bader (Louisville, Ky./St. Xavier) finished one shot behind Greene in fourth position with two rounds of 75.
Rose-Hulman finished in a tie for second place with Thomas More in the team standings with a two-day total of 620. Sanders Park (Alpharetta, Ga./Milton) led all HCAC golfers with a second place finish, firing rounds of 74 and 73. Park finished just one shot back of Thomas More's Michael Marcagi.
Manchester carded a fifth place finish at the seven-team event with a total of 640, while Defiance placed sixth in the standings with a total of 660.
Hanover will host Anderson, Defiance, Franklin, Manchester, Mount St. Joseph, and Rose-Hulman at the Hanover Invitational on April 5-6. Transylvania will also be in action on April 7-8 at Emory.
