GREENWOOD, IN - Rose-Hulman's Sanders Park (Alpharetta, Ga./Milton) earned medalist honors at the Hanover Invitational over the weekend, claiming the top spot after a three hole playoff.
Park fired rounds of 71 and 74 (+1) at Shadowood Golf Course. Park and Johnny Vidal (Harrison, Ohio) of Hanover battled through two matching holes of sudden death, before Park captured medalist honors on his 21st hole of the day.
Mount St. Joseph University was the top finishing HCAC school at the event, placing second among nine squads. Andrew Booth led the Lions with rounds of 73 and 76 to finish fifth in the individual standings.
Host Hanover placed fourth in the standings and was followed by Rose-Hulman (6th), Defiance (7th), and Manchester (8th).
This weekend, Defiance and Manchester will host an invitational in preparation for the upcoming HCAC championship on April 25-26 (Rd. 1 & 2) and May 2-3 (Rd. 3 & 4).
