Men's Golf Report (Week 3) - Mount St. Joseph Places 4th at Illinois Wesleyan

GREENWOOD, IN - Mount St. Joseph University's men's golf team placed fourth among 21 schools at the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational Friday.  The Lions finished six strokes behind champion Parkland College in the team standings.

Mount St. Joseph finished the 18-hole weather shortened tournament, held at Ironwood Golf Course in Normal, Illinois, with a score of 300.

Sophomore Mikel Merker (Dayton, Ohio/West Carrollton) carded a round of 74 to finish in a tie for 15th place in the individual standings. Sophomore Andrew Ruehle (Pickerington, Ohio/North) also finished with a round of 74.

This weekend, seven of the HCAC teams will compete at the Hanover Invitational, while Transylvania will be in action at Emory.
