Men's Golf Weekly Report - Week 1
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Six Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference men's golf teams traveled to Centerville, Ohio for the Mount St. Joseph Spring Invitational last weekend.
 
In the field of 13 teams from around the region, the Earlham Quakers placed first with a two day stroke total of 613. The Quakers claimed the team championship be defeating second place, Trine University, by just two strokes.
 
Junior Nate Mynatt shot a career low round of 72 in Sunday's second round and posted a 36-hole score of 148 to finish tied for second place at the invite. Mynatt led the Quakers to the tournament championship, the second team win this season, on the par 72, 6,736-yard Yankee Trace course. 
 
Earlham's Garrett Schuler and Hanover's Austin Zapp also placed in the top ten on the leaderboard in a four-way tie for sixth place. The two HCAC student-athletes posted a 36-hole score of 151 at the invitational. 
 
Mount St. Joseph University also placed three men's golfers in the top 20 player standings after finishing in a tie for seventh at the home invitational this spring.
